Family Services of Central Massachusetts


Coordinates workforce development projects for the early childhood education and out-of-school time programs in Central Massachusetts.


Participates in developing project work plan including needs assessment, in partnership with agency and program staff, providers and others. Engages in collaboration with local groups, and participates in, convenes and facilitates meetings with local and regional constituencies.

Oversees and manages project implementation including outreach, marketing, scheduling, staffing and/or scheduling instructors, ordering instructional materials, training content and process, registration and evaluation.

Monitors projects for effectiveness of program services and budget compliance with timely program reports and effective communication with supervisor and project funders.

Develop knowledge and skills related to best practices, resources and tools related to professional development, especially in areas such as curriculum, literacy, professional development/adult learning, coaching/mentoring and assessment.

Participate in agency and departmental teamwork to develop and review strategic goals, work plans, and budgets.


A minimum of three years of experience in early childhood care and education and training and/or staff development.

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.

Experience with program planning, implementation and management.

Effective oral and written communication and preference for Bilingual (English-Spanish Candidate).

Technology skills required including Microsoft Office and Google Docs word processing, presentations and spreadsheets, tablets, email and use of audio-visual equipment.
