Family Services of Central Massachusetts has been helping families in our area for over 125 years.  Since 1889, we have maintained the proud reputation in the greater Worcester community of providing valuable resources and specialized support, guidance and counseling to individuals and families in need. In January, 2020 we became the 13th affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation to broaden our scope of services while integrating the resources of the diverse lines of services offered through Seven Hills.

Our mission to support individuals and families through life transitions is guided by principles of compassion, understanding, professionalism, confidentiality and access for all, continues.

We are dedicated to providing families, children, and elders in Central Massachusetts and the surrounding counties with social services focused on prevention, intervention, counseling, and advocacy.

Center for Childcare Careers

The Center for Childcare Careers supports educators working with children, assists early education programs with professional development planning, and helps educators set and attain professional and academic goals.


Senior Companion

Senior Companions are volunteers 55 and over who provide assistance and friendship to seniors who have difficulty with daily living tasks. Volunteers help to keep seniors independent longer, and provide assistance to family caregivers.

For over sixty years, Family Services of Central Massachusetts Home Care has provided professional and cost-effective care for people living at home who need extra support or assistance with the activities of daily living.


RSVP Volunteers

RSVP is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and over. See how you can apply the skills and talents you’ve learned over the years – or develop new ones – while serving as a volunteer within your community.



Our professional and experienced team of Licensed Clinicians and Clinical Interns has been helping individuals and families in the greater Worcester Community to cope with stressful life events and address many concerning situations for decades.



Mediation creates the opportunity for people to have a conversation facilitated by a Neutral Mediator who is there to assist in the dispute to see if people are able to reach a mutual agreement in a safe and cooperative environment.
